Tutto il centro storico di Osimo è una galleria d'arte a cielo aperto la cui bellezza è ripartita in egual misura tra piazze, chiese e palazzi le cui facciate anticipano la fastosità degli interni. Tra gli edifici sacri il Duomo è di sicuro l'edificio più impressionante per la sua austera impostazione romanica, a questo monumento cristiano si affiancano per bellezza il Battistero, la Basilica di San Giuseppe di Copertino, la chiesa di San Marco e, per le costruzioni civili, il Palazzo Comunale con il settecentesco Teatro la Nuova Fenice.

Il patrimonio architettonico classico di Osimo deve, però, spartire una parte delle sua fama con il misterioso complesso di grotte presente nel sottosuolo, scavate nell'arenaria su cui sono incisi simboli esoterici legati agli enigmatici Cavalieri Templari.
