Rivalta sul Mincio si rivela essere il miglior punto di partenza assieme al capoluogo Mantova per delle piccole crociere in barca lungo il fiume.

Gli itinerari fluviali possibili sono tantissimi come tanti sono gli habitat tutelati dalla Riserva Naturale delle Valli del Mincio, un vero microcosmo di specie vegetali ed animali tipiche delle zone palustri, in particolare aironi, ibischi e uccelli acquatici.

Proprio a Rivalta è situato il Centro Parco del Mincio a cui è annesso il Museo Etnografico dei Mestieri del Fiume che ha lo scopo di raccogliere le tradizioni lavorative e la storia delle attività legate alle valli fluviali.

Il territorio è inoltre intelaiato da numerose piste ciclabili con aree di sosta attrezzate per il birdwatching che raggiungono spesso e volentieri l'importante Santuario di Grazie.
