Da buona cittadina toscana Arezzo possiede un incantevole borgo medievale costellato da splendide chiese, buona parte delle quali decorate dal sublime Piero della Francesca. Tra queste la maggiore è il Duomo di San Pietro, in cui è possibile ammirare un affresco della Maddalena. Il vero capolavoro di questo maestro immortale è il ciclo di affreschi della “Leggenda della vera Croce” nella Chiesa di San Francesco.
