L'antica città di Teramo ruota attorno alla piazza Martiri della Libertà, su cui si affacciano anche i principali palazzi e la splendida Cattedrale medievale. Nel centro storico è inoltre possibile visitare l'Anfiteatro e il Teatro Romano, con quest'ultimo ancora oggi adoperato per manifestazioni culturali e sportive. Fuori le mura si trova il santuario di Santa Maria delle Grazie, ospitante affreschi di notevole fattura.
